Protecting your data and trust

GuageAI helps engineering teams understand the impact of AI-assisted development. We know that safeguarding telemetry and personal information is critical to that mission. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have as a customer or end user.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: Name, email address, authentication identifiers, and billing contact details provided when you create an account or subscribe.
  • Usage telemetry: GitHub commit metadata, Firestore documents, webhook payloads, and manual AI logs that you authorize GuageAI to ingest for analytics purposes.
  • Billing data: Payment method references and invoice records processed by Stripe. We never store raw card numbers or full payment credentials on our systems.
  • Support communications: Messages, feedback, and attachments you share with our support team.

2. How we use information

  • Deliver dashboards, reports, and alerts that measure AI-assisted productivity, quality, and risk.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the GuageAI platform, including feature development and diagnostics.
  • Provide billing, account administration, and customer support services.
  • Comply with applicable laws, enforce our Terms, and detect or prevent abuse.

3. Data sharing & third-party processors

We share data only with trusted processors who help us deliver the service (for example: Stripe for payments, Firebase for hosting and persistence, GitHub for webhook ingestion, and third-party AI processors for enhanced analytics). Each processor is bound by contractual obligations to handle your data securely and solely for the services we request. GuageAI does not sell customer data and does not train generic AI models on customer content.

Data processed by third-party AI providers is handled under strict data processing agreements limiting use solely to analytics enrichment for your GuageAI account.

4. Security and data retention

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect data, including access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, audit logging, and least-privilege policies.

Data retention periods: We retain customer data only for as long as necessary to provide the service or fulfill legal obligations. GitHub commit metadata is retained for a default rolling 30-day window to support trend analysis and historical dashboards. Manual logs and account information are retained for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days following termination. All data is securely deleted or anonymized thereafter, unless retention is required by law.

5. Your choices

  • Access, update, or delete account information from the GuageAI dashboard or by contacting support.
  • Configure which repositories, projects, or data sources send telemetry to GuageAI integrations.
  • Opt out of marketing communications by using unsubscribe links or emailing us directly.

6. International data transfers and geographic scope

GuageAI is headquartered in the United States and currently serves customers in the United States, Canada, European Union, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. We may process data in other countries where we or our vendors operate. When transferring personal data across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms. GuageAI is available exclusively in English.

7. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to remove such information.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make material updates we will notify account owners through the dashboard or email.
